Two-time All-Mid-American Conference basketball player who was named "Player of the Year" in 1974-75 after leading CMU to a 22-6 season ... led frosh to an 11-5 record and made second team All-MAC as a sophomore ... averaged 14.3, 16.5 and 19 points a game for three years ... grabbed 13.8, 13.7 and 11.7 rebounds a game in his career ... as a senior, he hit 61.2 percent from the floor (fourth in the nation) and had 84 blocked shots and 40 steals ... twice CMU MVP ... still holds five Chippewa records including career rebounds (1,031) and rebounds in one game (26) ... No. 1 draft pick of the Indiana Pacers of the old American Basketball Association ... played with the Pacers until 1977, spent six years with the Atlanta Hawks, one year with the Detroit Pistons, and two years with the Washington Bullets ... three-time NBA All-Star (1980, '81 and '82) ... had his No. 33 retired in 1977 at CMU.
