NIL TIP SHEET (PDF) | NIL FOR DONORS (PDF) | CMU NIL POLICIES (PDF)
CMU Athletics has an NIL Task Force within its athletic department structure to provide proactive facilitation of Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities for Chippewa sports programs and student-athletes. This group will serve as a point of contact for the community, student-athletes, prospective donors, and businesses who want to support NIL activities at CMU.
Â
The Task Force includes Chris Walker, Deputy Director of Athletics for External Operations; Kelly Berryhill, Associate Athletic Director for Development; Zach Lowe, Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, and Travis Downing, Assistant Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Leadership and Development.
Â
Central Michigan Athletics has a variety of associated Name, Image, and Likeness programs available to businesses, fans, donors, and community members to help support its student-athletes. These programs have been endorsed by CMU Athletics in order to facilitate contact between community members and its student-athletes.

Â
The NCAA has created a website NILassist to assist its student-athletes in navigating Name, Image, and Likeness. That site is located at this link.
Â
Listed below are a variety of programs and ways that Central Michigan fans, donors and others can get involved in Name, Image, and Likeness initiatives to support Chippewas student-athletes:
Â
INFLUENCER| CMU LINK | GENERAL WEBSITE
Influencer is a leading platform, part of Teamworks, that provides tools and resources for student-athletes and athletic departments to manage their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, ensuring compliance and maximizing revenue potential. Influencer products ensure student-athletes are provided the tools, content, financial literacy, and more to participate in upcoming opportunities from NIL legislation all while providing Compliance staff with the necessary data to ensure student-athletes stay compliant under current legislation.
Â
INFLUXER | CMU LINK | GENERAL WEBSITE
Influxer, an NIL company, presents a co-licensed NIL merchandise deal to all of our student-athletes. The platform features free activation. Multiple lines of merchandise will be sold via their e-commerce platform, influxermerch.com, and the majority of gross profit will be distributed back to the student-athletes based on the sales of each athlete's individual merch. This is a great way to support CMU student-athletes by wearing each student-athletes' merch and supporting their NIL.
Â
In addition, each sport has its own NIL-related program. Please contact the respective sports programs for more information.
