Former freshman baseball player for the Chippewas who is a nationally-renowned broadcaster ... currently works for CBS doing college basketball, the NFL, and tennis ... worked virtually every major sporting event on NBC as a play-by-play commentator ... has won five Emmy Awards, three for Outstanding Sports Personality (1981, '83 and '90), one for production (1977) and one for writing (1988) ... included in his assignments have been NBC's Emmy-award winning coverage of the 1988 and '92 Olympics ... has served as the play-by-play voice for four Super Bowls and nine Rose Bowls ... helped lead a drive in 1980 to remodel Theunissen Stadium ... got his start in radio broadcasting football, basketball and baseball for WCEN in Mount Pleasant while a health science student at CMU ... a product of Armada High, Dick currently lives in Rancho Sante Fe, Cal.
