Two-year standout basketball player who helped lead the Chippewas to their first Mid-American Conference (MAC) title in 1975 ... earned second team All-MAC honors as a junior and was a unanimous first-team pick as a senior in '75 ... career scoring average of 17.3 points is fifth in CMU history ... scored 42 points in his final home game and then scored all five CMU points in the overtime MAC championship contest ... drafted in the third round by the New Orleans Jazz in 1975 ... played eight seasons in the NBA with New Orleans, Detroit and Atlanta ... scored 40 points in one NBA game and averaged more than 17 points a game one season for New Orleans ... after basketball he put on drug counseling programs for youths throughout southern Georgia in addition to working part-time at Georgia Public Television.
