All-American in 1976 when he finished second at the NCAA championships ... three-time MAC champion ... qualified for Olympic Trials in 1976 and '80 ... personal best of 7-5 1/2 ... holds both CMU indoor (7-3 3/4) and outdoor (7-5) records ... helped develop four other 7-0 high jumpers for the Chippewas as a volunteer coach ... two-time state prep champion at Fulton-Middleton High.
