High scoring basketball standout for the Chippewas ... still stands as the No. 4 all-time scorer with 1,627 points in just three seasons ... his career scoring average of 22.3 is still tops ... holds season record for scoring average (25.4) ... scored a career-high 49 points in a game against Marshall in 1973 ... had 12 games with over 30 points, eight in one season ... topped Mid-American Conference in scoring in 1973 with a 23.8 average and was a first-team all-conference pick ... twice named team Most Valuable Player and was captain his senior season ... product of Flint Southwestern but did not play basketball ... has had his college jersey (31) retired ... played on season in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons ... was an assistant coach at Eastern Michigan ... won three state championships in a row and was named national high school coach of the year while at Detroit Cooley High ... currently is an assistant coach at Kansas State University.
