One of the finest athletes ever to play baseball for CMU, Pagel was a first team All-American shortstop in 1980 and second team in '79 ... first team all-Mid-American Conference in 1979 and '80 ... Dave ranks eighth in career hits with 164, tied for fourth in career doubles with 34, tied for 10th in career home runs with 18 and second in career RBI with 137 ... career batting average of .390 is second and he's tied for career lead in game-winning RBI with 21 ... set a school-record fro GW RBI with 14 in 1980 which still stands ... a native of Blissfield.
