One of the first great wide receivers for Central Michigan, helping the Chippewas to a National Championship in 1974 … started all 35 game of his CMU career, finishing as CMU’s career record holder for receptions (130) and receiving yards (2,004) … was exceptional in CMU’s run to a national title, catching seven passes for 89 yards and a touchdown in the semifinals and grabbing eight more for 146 yards and a touchdown in the national championship game … at the end of his career, held the program records for receptions and receiving yards in a season with 55 for 848 yards in 1974, both which stood for over 20 years … led CMU in receptions and receiving yards in 1972, 1973 and 1974 … member of the men’s basketball varsity team for two season, earning a letter in 1972-73 as he ranked third in rebounding (6.2) and fourth in scoring (5.8) … native of Adrian, Mich.
