Still considered one of the top passing quarterbacks in Central Michigan history, Pat Boyd excelled in football from 1962-66 ... broke or tied 14 single season and career marks for the Chippewas ... career passing stats were: completed 259 (seventh) of 528 (sixth) for 3,200 yards (seventh) ... fifth-ranked passer in the country in 1965 after completing 146-of-283 passes for 1,604 yards ... first team IIAC selection, team MVP and named CMU's Most Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1965-66 ... two-time Class B all-state quarterback from Saginaw Saint Peter and Paul, Pat was a school teacher/coach at Lakeview High before retiring in 1998 ... recipient of wrestling "Coach of the Year" honors in Michigan.
