ASSISTANT COACH KAREN LUTZKE ON THE MICHIGAN INTERCOLLEGIATES-- "We are really excited about the upcoming Michigan Collegiates. The race is for bragging rights as to who is the best in the state of Michigan. With a couple hundred runners expected, it will be our biggest race to date. The race will be on a fast course so it should be exciting. We want to key in on the MAC teams competing in the race."
LUTZKE ON THE PENN STATE INVITATIONAL- "We were happy with how we ran. Everyone had a solid performance. Going into the meet we knew that if we wanted to beat UCLA we would have to have a great race. Brook Creed (Clarkston/Sr.) had been sick the entire week but ran a good race. Our pack ran well together with the top five only 15 seconds apart, which is where we wanted to be. We were really happy beating Penn State and Navy. That has never been done before."
