Women's Cross Country Takes Seventh Place At Regionals

YPSILANTI -- Central Michigan's women's cross country team took seventh place at the Great Lakes Regional championships on Saturday afternoon at Eastern Michigan.
The women's regional champion was Wisconsin-Madison with 65 points. The rest of the top 10 were Michigan (113), Marquette (146), Indiana (175), Michigan State (222), Toledo (183), Central Michigan (237), Notre Dame (272), Eastern Michigan (282) and Ball State (301).
CMU's top women's finisher was Brook Creed (Walkerville/Jr.) who was 21st at 21:48.
The rest of the Chippewa runners were: Stefanie Burklow (Clarkston/Sr.) 25th at 22:01, Cami Moll (Zeeland/So.) was 45th at 22:18, Patty Langworthy (Holland/Jr.) was 51st at 22:22, Tami Lauritzen (Wyoming/Sr.) was 100th at 23:03, Melissa Miller (Portland/Fr.) was 105th at 23:08 and Karen LeRoy (Oxford/Fr.) was 149th at 23:56.
