Women's Cross Country Takes Second At BGSU

BOWLING GREEN, OH--The Central Michigan University women's cross country team took second place out of 11 teams at the Mel Brodt Invitational held Saturday at Bowling Green State University.
Toledo won the meet with 31 points and was followed by Central Michigan (43), Bowling Green (76), Cincinnati (84), Wright State (111) and Xavier (168).
Brook Creed (Walkerville/Jr.) led the Chippewas with a second-place finish in a time of 18:01. Danielle Quisenberry (Middleville/Fr.) finished eighth in 18:20 while Cami Moll (Zeeland/So.) took 10th in 18:22 and Stefanie Burklow (Clarkston/Sr.) finished 11th in 18:23.
Other finishers for CMU included: Patty Langworthy (Holland/Jr.) finished 17th (19:02), Tami Lauritzen (Wyoming/Sr.) finished 18th (19:03), Karen LeRoy (Oxford/Fr.) finished 19th (19:04) and Traci Owczarek (Troy/Sr.) took 26th (19:29).
The Chippewas have next weekend off before hosting the Central Collegiates on Sept. 29.
