Track And Field MAC Coaches Poll Released

Cleveland, Ohio-The Central Michigan men's track and field team was picked third while the women's team was picked fourth in the Indoor Track and Field MAC Coaches Poll released today.
The league's head coaches favor Eastern Michigan Men and Kent State Women to win the Indoor Track and Field title. Eastern Michigan's men received 99 points for the first place with nine first place votes. Two schools abstaining from voting. Kent State's women received 124 points for first place with six first place votes. Three schools abstaining from voting.
For the men, Western Michigan came in second place with 87 points. Coming in a close third and fourth place is Central Michigan and Kent State with 79 points and 74 points respectively. Ball State received 55 points for fifth place and Akron received 51 points to make sixth place.
Buffalo (47), Bowling Green (31), Toledo (27), Marshall (24) and Ohio (14) round out the rest of the men's poll. They are picked to finish seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth and eleventh respectively.
On the women's side, Ball State comes in a close secon with 117 points after first place Kent State. Eastern Michigan takes third with 103 points.
Central Michigan received 89 points for fourth place. Akron, with 88 points edged out Miami with 82 for fifth place. Toledo came in seventh with 66 points and Bowling Green tabbed eighth place with 53 points.
Rounding out the women's poll are Ohio (48), Buffalo (47), Western Michigan (44), Marshall (21) and Northern Illinois (19) to finish ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth respectively.
