Men's Track Takes Second At CMU Triangular

MOUNT PLEASANT--Central Michigan took second place at its own CMU Triangular on Saturday afternoon at Bennett Track.
Western Michigan won the meet with 163 points, CMU was second with 146 and Bowling Green was third with 71.
CMU was paced by six event winners.
Dana Thomas won the 400m (48.29), Kevin Sule the 1,500m (4:00.60), Luke Humphrey the 5,000m (15:06.59), Aaron Gebauer the pole vault (15-11.75) and Steve Wolf the long jump (23-2). CMU also took top honors in the 4x100m relay (43.95).
Other top performances were turned in by: Clive Roberts who was second in the 110m hurdles (14.64) and third in the 100m (10.61), Jacob Crowe second in the 800m (1:55.41), Mike Wilusz third in the 800m (1:55.48), Pete Remien second in the 1,500m (4:01.22), Tristen Perlberg third in the 5,000m (15:17.04), Jake Lake third in the 400m hurdles (55.62), Jared Biniecki second in the steeplechase (9:28.14), Ronnie Zatkoff second in the high jump (6-6) and third in the javelin (161-6), Wolf third in the high jump (6-6) and third in the triple jump (45-10.75), Pat Walderzak second in the shot put (56-4) and second in the hammer (176-6), and John Pilling second in the javelin (163-6).
