Brousseau Earns NCAA Post-graduate Scholarship

MOUNT PLEASANT-- Melissa Brousseau's excellence on and off the field had paid off in the past, but it will now pave the way for her future.
The former Central Michigan University shot put and discus standout was awarded with an NCAA postgraduate scholarship.
Brousseau was one of 29 female spring sport athletes to receive the $5,000 award, which is presented for academic and athetic acheivement to student-athletes pursuing post-graduate education.
Brousseau, who holds the school record for shot put, graduated with a 3.9 grade-point average in communications. She was named Academic All-District in 2002, and has also been named to the Mid-American Conference honor roll three times and Academic All-MAC in 1999.
