Maroon & Gold Gala Award-Winners Announced

Wrestling's Alex Cramer and Women's cross country/track & field's Emily Paupore earn the respective Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Alex Cramer of the wrestling team and Emily Paupore of the cross country/track & field teams received the Male and Female Athlete of the Year Awards, respectively, on Monday evening during the annual 2023-24 Maroon & Gold Gala at McGuirk Arena.
Each year, the event serves as a celebration of Central Michigan University athletics and its 400-plus student-athletes.

Moment of the Year: Emily Paupore wins MAC cross country title, becoming the first female in CMU history to accomplish the feat.
Community Impact Award: Women's soccer team.
