Men's Track Takes Second At MAC Championships

YPSILANTI -- The Central Michigan University men's track squad finished in second place at the MAC Championship meet for the second straight year to Eastern Michigan on Saturday evening.
The Chippewas finished with 145 points while first-place Eastern Michigan scored 186 points.
Johnie Drake starred for the Chippewas winning two events. He won the 60m dash with a time of 6.73 and took home the crown in the 200m with a mark of 21.50.
Soji Jibowu took first in the 400m (47.96) and second in the 200m (21.70) while freshman Matt Warner took the top spot in the high jump with a mark of 6-9 1/2.
Other Chippewas finishing in the top three were: Steve Wezner taking second in the 400m (48.50); Ron Miller taking third in the mile (4:07.22); Nick Stout finishing third in the 60m hurdles (8.13); and the 4x400m relay team taking second (3:17.44).
