Men's Track Does Well At Indiana University Relays

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Central Michigan University men's track and field squad took second place at the Indiana University Relays with 128 points on Saturday afternoon.
The Chippewas fell short of Indiana's 167.5 points and finished ahead of Indiana State's tally of 93.50.
CMU managed six first-place finishes and had five athletes qualify for the NCAA regional meet.
Taking first for the Chippewas were: Johnie Drake in the 100m (10.69); Jeff Davis in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:04.98); Clarence Glenn in the 110m hurdles (14.50); Nick Stout in the 400m hurdles (53.58); Matt Warner in the high jump (6-7 1/2) and the 4x100m relay squad with a time of 40.27.
Out of the group that took first, Davis and the relay squad's marks were good enough to qualify for the regional meet.
Others qualifying for regional competition on Saturday were: Soji Jibowu in the 400m (47.03) and Mike Marsh (190-6 1/2) and Mike Sidlauskas (185-4 1/2) in the hammer throw.
