Drake Grabs MAC Honor

Central Michigan University standout Johnie Drake was named Mid-American Conference men's track "Athlete of the Week." Drake, a Detroit Cass Tech product, was honored by the MAC after running the fastest 60m time in the country last Saturday at the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame -- a blazing 6.56. It is an automatic NCAA qualifying time. Drake also ran the fastest time in the country a year ago during the in door season when he posted a 6.54.
