Blossom Named Athletics Business Manager

Blossom, who began his new job on July 10, will be responsible for the day to day operations of the athletics business office. He will also prepare and schedule the annual budget statement, coordinate year-end department reconcilaitions and coordinate the annual audit.
“Marcus brings a wealth of experience to the position and will be at the forefront for us as we transform the business operations inside our intercollegiate athletics program,” Athletics Director Dave Heeke said. “He will be taking a leadership role in the financial management aspect of our department.”
Blossom spent the past year serving as an administrative services intern with the NCAA at its headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Matteson, Ill. native earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Northeastern University and his master’s degree in sport management from West Virginia University.
While at Northeastern, Blossom starred for the Huskies’ men’s basketball squad, earning All-America East Conference honors three times and being named the team’s Most Valuable Player in each of his final three seasons. He ranks fourth all-time in NU history for steals (183) and is eighth all-time in scoring (1,475 points).
