Sheena Smith has been named the State Farm CMU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Smith posted event-best scores of 9.85 on the vault and 9.825 on the bars as CMU posted a win over Texas Woman's University and Brown University on Sunday. Her score on vault is the highest for a Chippewa this season.
A broadcast and cinemati arts major with a minor in journalism, Smart carries a 3.29 grade-point average.
Each week, State Farm will recognize one male and one female student-athlete as its CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
