MOUNT PLEASANT - Katie Simon has been named the State Farm CMU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Simon posted an all-around score of 39.375, the 10th highest score in CMU history and best in the Mid-American Conference this season. She scored a 9.800 on the uneven bars, 9.900 on the vault (sixth highest in CMU history), 9.925 on the floor (best in the MAC this season) and career-high 9.750 on the beam.

Simon is a freshman with a 3.20 grade-point average.
