Jessica Neel has been named the State Farm CMU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Neel scored a career-high 9.825 on the beam as CMU defeated Northern Illinois 193.500-192.175. It was the highest score for Neel in any event in her career. With the win, CMU improved its record in the Mid-American Conference to 4-1 and remained in the driver’s seat to claim the top spot in the regular season standings and the first choice of competition order at the MAC Championships on March 31.

Neel, a sophomore, carries a 3.93 grade-point average.
