Chris Kupillas has been named the State Farm CMU Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Kupillas pitched seven shutout innings and earned two wins as CMU won four games last week. He allowed just one hit in his seven innings of work. For the season, Kupillas is 3-2 with a 2.31 ERA. He has allowed just six earned runs in 23-1/3 innings pitched.

Kupillas, a sophomore, maintains a 3.18 grade-point average as a marketing major.

Each week, State Farm will recognize one male and one female student-athlete as its CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
