Whitney Burton has been named the State Farm CMU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Burton matched her career high of 9.825 on the floor exercise in CMU's win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. A senior, Burton's performance came in her final appearance at Rose Arena.
Burton maintains a 3.41 grade-point average as a journalism major.
Each week, State Farm will recognize one male and one female student-athlete as its CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
