MOUNT PLEASANT - Sharonda Hurd has been named the State Farm CMU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Hurd led the Chippewas in scoring in their final two games of the season last week. She tallied 14 points in a 57-50 loss to Eastern Michigan in the regular season finale, then collected 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals in a Mid-American Conference Tournament loss to Ohio on Sunday. Hurd finished the season leading the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg) and second in scoring (11.0 ppg).
