Suzie Giroux has been named the State Farm CMU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Giroux hit .350 last week going 7-for-20. She drove in a team-high four runs, including a solo homer against Northern Illinois. Giroux also made several outstanding defensive plays in the outfield, including diving catches and catches against the fence. Giroux had an RBI in four of CMU's six games along with three multi-hit outings. She was 4-for-8 with two RBI in the doubleheader against Detroit.

Giroux maintains a 3.94 grade-point average as a business administration major.

Each week, State Farm will recognize one male and one female student-athlete as its CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
