Kelly McClure has been named the State Farm CMU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
McClure will compete in the 3000m steeplechase at the NCAA Mideast Regional this week. She shattered the school record in that event at the 2007 Mid-American Conference Championships, placing second in 10:49.75.
McClure is a freshman majoring in health fitness. She boasts a 3.98 grade-point average.
Each week, State Farm will recognize one male and one female student-athlete as its CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
