Central Michigan senior quarterback Brian Brunner is this week's State Farm CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Brunner, a game-time decision to make his third career start, completed 20-of-28 passes for 346 yards and a touchdown to lead the Chippewas to a 38-28 win over Western Michigan on Saturday. Brunner, making his first start since Sept. 30, 2006, guided a CMU offense that posted season highs in points (38) and total yards (524).

Brunner, a journalism major, maintains a 3.89 grade-point average.
