Sammy Kiprotich is this week's State Farm CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Kiprotich, a sophomore on the cross country team, placed third in a field of 193 competitors at the adidas Notre Dame Invitational last weekend. He completed the 8k loop in 24:59 to help lead CMU to a sixth-place team finish in the 23-team field.
Kiprotich boasts a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average.
