Wynn Michalak is this week's CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Michalak finished second at 197 pounds at the NCAA Wrestling Championships over the weekend. CMU's first national finalist since 1999, Michalak won four straight matches to advance to the national championship match and earn his third career All-America honor. He is the wrestling program's third three-time All-American.
Michalak was 30-2 as a senior and 128-24 overall in his career.
A senior majoring in mathematics, Michalak maintains a 3.81 grade-point average.
