Kari Seddon is this week's CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Seddon was 2-0 with a save in four appearances last week. She recorded the final out to earn the save in a 3-2 midweek victory against Michigan State. Seddon then tossed a pair of complete-game shutouts during the weekend. She scattered four hits in a 2-0 win against Ohio on Friday, then allowed Akron only a sixth-inning single in a 5-0 victory on Saturday.

Seddon, a sophomore majoring in mathematics, maintains a 3.48 grade-point average.

Each week, one student-athlete is selected as the CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
