Men Conclude Final Tune Up Before MACs

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Central Michigan men's track and field team looked to sharpen things up this weekend at the Len Paddock Invitational hosted by Michigan.

The non-scoring competition was CMU's final tune up before the Mid-American Conference Championships next week at Bowling Green, May 15-17.

"We had a lot of people doing different things, trying to fine tune and get ready for the MAC Championships," coach Jim Knapp said.  "We are going to have to step it up big time for next week."

Central had four top 10 finishes in the meet.

Pole vaulter Joe Hasler posted a third-place showing in the pole vault after clearing a height of 15-9.

CMU had two placers in the 3000m with Donnie Richmond finishing fourth (8:44.61) and Andrew Manning fifth (9:24.33).

Branden Post clocked a time of 54.98 in the 400m hurdles to finish eighth.
