Amanda Rudert

Amanda Rudert is this week's State Farm CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Rudert, a senior on the cross country team, finished first overall to lead CMU to the team title at the George Dales Invitational. She completed the 5K course in 18:13, eight seconds faster than the nearest competitor. CMU won the team title with 28 points, finishing ahead of Mid-American Conference rivals Western Michigan (44) and Eastern Michigan (59).

Rudert, a biomedical sciences major, maintains a 3.88 grade-point average.
