Katie Simon is this week's State Farm CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Simon, a junior on the gymnastics team, won the vault (9.825), floor (9.800) and all-around (39.100) in the Chippewas' win at Utah State last week. Simon also finished second on bars (9.800). It marked the second time in as many outings that Simon has won three events.

A therapeutic recreation major, Simon maintains a 3.42 grade-point average.

Each week, one student-athlete is selected as the State Farm CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
