Pilling Notches Season Best at Mount SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. Greg Pilling was the top performer threw a season-best 183-9 in the discus to win the event at the 51st annual Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. on Friday.

The junior’s performance highlighted a strong day for a pair of individuals at the prestigious meet. Pilling’s mark beat his previous season best by over eight feet. He will compete in the finals on Saturday.

Also competing on Friday were pole vaulters Marcus Breidinger and Mike McGregor. Breidinger won the open pole vault after clearing 16-6 , a new season best. McGregor also notched a new season best with a vault of 15-7, which tied for seventh.

The Chippewas are back in action next weekend at the Oregon Relays beginning on Friday.
