Pilling Named MAC Field Athlete of the Week

MOUNT PLEASANT Junior thrower Greg Pilling (London, Ont./Sir Frederick Banting HS) of the Central Michigan University men’s track and field team was named the Mid-American Conference’s Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
Pilling extended his MAC lead in the discus with a throw of 183-9, winning the event at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
This is the first weekly award that Pilling has received in his collegiate career. He is the first CMU athlete to earn a weekly MAC award during the outdoor season.
The Chippewas return to the track on Friday when they compete at the Hillsdale Relays in Hillsdale, Mich.
