Greg Pilling is this week's State Farm CMU Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Pilling, a junior on the track and field team, posted regional qualifying marks in the hammer throw (192-03) and discus (172-00) in the Chippewas' outdoor season opener Saturday against Eastern Michigan. Pilling finished first in both events. He was the lone Chippewa to claim two individual first-place finishes, and he accounted for 10 of CMU's 81 team points.

Pilling is a sport studies major with a 3.35 grade-point average.
