Women's Cross Country Tabbed Sixth in MAC Preseason Poll

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Mid-American Conference released its women’s cross country preseason coaches poll on Tuesday, predicting the Central Michigan harriers to finish sixth.
"Right now, we're very focused on what's going to happen at the end of the year," head coach Willie Randolph said. "The thing that matters the most to any coach or athlete is crossing the finish line at the end of the season in a better position that what you started."
The Chippewas finished fourth at the 2008 MAC cross country championships and finished 16th in the Great Lakes Regional.
CMU opens the season by hosting the Jeff Drenth Memorial on Sept. 4.
