Heck Awarded NACMA Scholarship

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan Athletics marketing graduate assistant Dan Heck has been awarded a national scholarship to attend the 2010 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) Convention in June.
The NACMA Awards Committee selected just 15 recipients from a record-breaking number of student nominations.
"Dan is an integral part of our athletics marketing staff," said Director of Marketing, Promotions and Community Relations Mike Dabbs. "His work ethic and passion for CMU Athletics is unmatched. Dan is a good example of what we are trying to accomplish in our department, which is train young professionals in an educational setting. This conference will only enhance his development and his contributions to CMU."
Heck's duties include handling the day-to-day marketing and promotions for volleyball, men's basketball and softball. He also manages the department's social media outlets and assists with the overall marketing efforts of CMU's 16 sport programs.
Heck, a native of Big Rapids, Mich., just completed his first year of the Master of Arts in Sport Administration program. He graduated from CMU in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sport Management.
