Zeigler Named MAC West Division Player of the Week

MOUNT PLEASANT – Central Michigan University sophomore Trey Zeigler (Mount Pleasant, Mich./Mount Pleasant HS) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week by the league office on Monday.
It marks the first time in his career that he has earned the honor.
Zeigler was named to the all-tournament team at the Great Alaska Shootout after leading CMU to a 2-1 record and fourth-place finish. CMU was 3-1 overall on the week.
Zeigler averaged 17.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting .538 from the floor.
He recorded his third double-double of the season against Dartmouth and had a pair of 20-point games. The guard took game-high scoring honors in two of the four contests and also dished out a career-high tying six assists at Pepperdine.
The Chippewas are idle until Saturday, Dec. 3 when they travel to Atlantic 10 Conference foe Temple.
