MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Central Michigan men's basketball team will open the 2014-15 season Sunday with an exhibition game against Saginaw Valley State.
Tipoff is at 1 p.m. at McGuirk Arena. It's just the second meeting between the Chippewas and Saginaw Valley. CMU defeated the Cardinals, 70-60, in 2004.
It is the first of six consecutive homes games to open the season for CMU. The Chippewas entertain Alma on Friday, Nov. 14, and then welcome in Youngstown State on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
CMU, which is coming off a 10-21 season, is entering its third year under coach Keno Davis. The Cardinals finished 9-17 a year ago. Their coach, Randy Baruth, is also entering his third year.
