MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan Athletics announced this afternoon that golf head coach Tom Beidleman has been relieved of his duties.
“It recently came to our attention that Tom Beidleman was lacking the necessary degree requirements for this position,” Director of Athletics Dave Heeke said. “Based on this new information, I have decided to relieve him of his duties immediately. Our focus now turns to the welfare of our golf student-athletes and ensuring that they have a smooth transition through this process.”
Effective immediately, Executive Associate Director of Athletics Marcy Weston will handle oversight of the program. No decisions have been made on an interim coach and CMU will launch a national search immediately for its next full-time head coach.
