Final Pre-MAC Tuneup for CMU Track & Field

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- As the Mid-American Conference championships loom, the Central Michigan men's and women's indoor track & field teams prepare by competing in two meets this weekend.
On Friday, the Chippewas will travel to Allendale, Mich., to compete in the Grand Valley State Tune-Up at the Kelly Family Sports Center. The event will begin at 3 p.m.
On Saturday, CMU will hit the road to go to Ann Arbor and take on the Wolverines in the Silverston Invitational. The women's weight throw will start the field events at 10:30 a.m., and track events are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
The MAC Championships are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28, at CMU's Jack Skoog Indoor Track & Field Complex. The event gets under way at 10 a.m. on Friday. Saturday carries a 9:45 a.m. start time.
