CMU's Roberts Shares First-Round Lead

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Central Michigan's Arielle Roberts shot a 4-over par 76 Wednesday for a share of the lead after the first round of the Bulldog Florida Invitational women's golf tournament at Windsor Parke Golf Club.
Roberts, who shot a school-record tying 75 Tuesday to finish third in the Benbow Invitational, is tied atop the leaderboard with Anastasia Carter of Southern Indiana and Allison Mitzel of Youngstown State.
The tournament, hosted by Butler, is scheduled to conclude with the final 18-hole round on Thursday.
The Chippewas shot a 338 team score and stand in fifth place in the eight-team field. Southern Indiana (316) leads the event. Butler (318) is second.
Also for CMU on Wednesday, Chloe Guschewski shot 82 and is among a group at 10-over tied for 12th place; Kristen Wolfe shot 89; Grace Labrecque and Natalie Johnson both shot 91; and Hannah Matthies shot 94.
