21 Chippewas Earn MAC Academic Track & Field Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Twenty-one Central Michigan student-athletes were named Academic All-Mid-American Conference indoor track and field team.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.2 or better grade point average and appear in at least 50 percent of his team's games. True freshman and first-year transfers are ineligible.
Nine Chippewas are repeat honorees.
The 21 Chippewas named to the squad, with year, GPA and major:
• Anthony Armstrong, junior, 3.31, mechanical engineering.
• Dylan Banagis, junior, 3.88, entrepreneurship.
• Esther Bell, junior, 3.71, psychology.
• Quincy Briggs, junior, 3.43, mechanical engineering.
• Michaela Bundy, junior, 3.75, physical education and school health education.
• Silas DeKalita, junior, 3.75, economics.
• Kylee Dobbelaere, junior, 3.43, sport management.
• Brianna Hadley, sophomore, 3.73, exercise science - kinesiology.
• Erik Huertas, sophomore, 3.78, accounting.
• Jamie Madrigal, junior, 3.54, exercise science - kinesiology.
• Alexandra Mielke, senior, 3.48, communication disorders.
• Megan O'Neil, sophomore, 3.65, dietetics.
• Rebekah Petty, sophomore, 3.88, exercise science - kinesiology.
