10/17/2017 12:00:00 AM | General
Oct. 17, 2017 This week, the Sideliners radio show goes on the road to Emmons Hall on the campus of Central Michigan. It's for students, so expect extra touches to the normal format.
"A lot of CMU students stuck it out Saturday through the rain," CMU football coach John Bonamego said. "They moved up to the front rows and continued to cheer. You bet our players noticed."
Much of the Sideliners radio format will stay the same Thursday. The show starts at 6 p.m. in the lobby of Emmons Hall and will be broadcast live on WUPS-FM 98.5 and on the CMU Chippewas Game Day app.
The show is rebroadcast on Thursday at 8 p.m. on WLUN-FM 100.9. Host Adam Jaksa will interview Bonamego, then make way for defensive game coordinator/defensive backs coach Archie Collins and two players. Jaksa also will interview CMU volleyball coach Mike Gawlik and two players.
The Emmons Hall show will include pizza for students. Bonamego will stick around after the show to take questions from students. Those who ask great questions may walk away with a Bono bobblehead.
The Sideliners radio show will return to its usual home at Hunter's Ale House on Thursday, Oct. 26.
