MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Football and golf are on the docket on Thursday at Sideliners, the weekly radio show that offers listeners an inside look at Central Michigan athletics.
The weekly radio show hosted this week by Adam Jaksa originates from Hunter's Ale House in Mount Pleasant beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The show is carried live on WUPS-FM 98.5 and on the CMU Chippewas Game Day app, and is rebroadcast on Thursdday at 8 p.m. on WLUN-FM 100.9
Scheduled to join the show this week are Central Michigan football coach John Bonamego and golf coach Cheryl Stacy.
Also expected to join the show are defensive line coach George Ricumstrict along with football team members Joe Ostman and Chris Kantzavelos, and golf team members Natalie Johnson and Jami Laude.
The CMU football team is 2-3 and headed to Ohio on Saturday to take on the Bobcats in a Mid-American Conference game. CMU is 0-1 in MAC play, while Ohio is 1-0.
The CMU golf team on Tuesday finished second in the Western Michigan Kzoo Classic. It was CMU's best finish since the rebirth of the program in 2014.
