The Central Michigan men's basketball team will entertain Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Friday (7 p.m.) in a nonconference game at McGuirk Arena. The Chippewas play their final nonconference game on Friday, Dec. 29, at home against Lawrence Tech.
LAST TIME OUT
The Chippewas (9-2) defeated Missouri-Kansas City, 92-86, in overtime in Kansas City on Tuesday. David DiLeo posted career highs in points (29) and rebounds (15) in leading the Chippewas, who had won seven consecutive games before dropping an 86-80 decision last Saturday at Southern Utah.
CMU BY THE NUMBERS
Junior guard Shawn Roundtree leads the Chippewas in scoring at 14.7 points per game. He is one of three Chippewas who average in double figures. Cecil Williams (14.5) and DiLeo (13.6) are the others.
Roundtree scored 23 points and dished out seven assists - both career highs - at UMKC.
The Chippewas' 92 points against UMKC was a season high.
CMU ranks second in the nation in free throw percentage (80.5).
The Chippewas are averaging 79 points per game and are surrendering an average of 65.9. Their scoring margin, 13.1 points per game, is 54th among the 351 NCAA Division I teams in the nation.

SIUE (4-6) enters the contest riding a three-game win streak. The Cougars defeated Chicago State, 88-76, on Tuesday. The 88 points was the Cougars' season high. They open Ohio Valley Conference next Thursday at Austin Peay.
Jalen Henry, a 6-foot-8 senior, leads SIUE in scoring at 17.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Daniel Kinchen, a 6-3 junior guard, averaged 15.4 points per game and is making 85.4 percent of his free throw attempts.
