Softball, Basketball On Sideliners Docket

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan softball and basketball are on the docket this week at Sideliners, the weekly radio show that offers listeners an inside look at Chippewa athletics.
CMU softball coach Margo Jonker, men's basketball coach Keno Davis, and women's associate head coach Heather Oesterle are scheduled to join host Don Chiodo on the show, that originates from Hunter's Ale House in Mount Pleasant on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m.
The show is carried live on WUPS-FM 98.5 and on the CMU Chippewas Game Day app, and is rebroadcast on Thursday at 8 p.m. on WLUN-FM 100.9
Also scheduled to join the show are softball team members Hanna Warren and Allison Curtis, along with women's basketball assistant coaches Murriel Page and Courtney Shelton, and Micaela Kelly, a freshman guard on the women's basketball team.
The Chippewa men's and women's basketball team are scheduled to host a doubleheader on Saturday at McGuirk Arena. The women are slated to take on rival Western Michigan at 1 p.m.; the men are slated to take on Kent State at 4:30 p.m.
The CMU softball team opens the 2018 season on Feb. 9 at the Mercer Invitational in Macon, Ga.
